Ms Noriko Machida doesn't sit down for many interviews, but then again, Chimala's well-made pieces speak for themselves. Cut from 13.5oz denim and reinforced with selvedge edges to ensure a long lifeline, these jeans have been purposefully distressed by artisans in the label's Japanese workshop. They're cut for a looser, straight-leg fit and cropped at the ankles, so they'll work well with boots or high-top sneakers.
